In terms of Maine micro-brew or local beer movement, Andrews is venerable, the fifth craft brewery to open in Maine. They began brewing in 1992 and you might say they really started something because there are now at least 28 small craft breweries operating in Maine. Located 9 miles inland from Lincolnville Beach, with views extending to Cadillac Mountain and Little Deer Isle call ahead for touring information.
With Andrew’s Pale Ale, and Old Brown Dog usually available all along the midcoast on tap in local bars as well as in the markets, it’s definitely worth a try. The Pale Ale is traditional with a bitter finish and the brown ale is more mellow.
